Even the cops make mistakes, right? I think about it for a while but I stop when the front door suddenly opens. "Honey, I'm home!", Harry jokes and makes me laugh. He somehow always manages to make me laugh. But then he also has to bring up that subject again: "How do you feel?", I sigh while everybody else follows him to my living room.
Harry, Wilma, Louis, Alva, Liam, Amanda and Zayn. They are all here now. They told me they would come but little did I hope they won't. But I guess it was good for me to have some friends around.
"Could be better, I guess", I reply and smile weakly. "Oh... yeah", Harry replies and realizes that it wasn't the best thing to ask this question. I look at Wilma and see she cried, so I get up and hug her. She seems to be the only person at the moment that really understands me.
She starts crying again and I rub her back to comfort her. "I'm so sorry, Niall. I know that's even harder for you", she says but I shake my head: "We both lost a best friend", I explain and try to calm her down but she looks up to me. Now she's the one who shakes her head. "No!", she says, "I lost a best friend, YOU lost the love of your life!"
I don't reply.
"Okay, so I think we need to do something to take little Nialler's mind off things!", Harry suddenly says since we were all silent for quite a while. No awkward silence, but I guess he got kind of nervous and hyper as he's not used to so much silence. None of us is.
"Remember when I forgot that book here? Like... two months ago!?", Harry asks and I nod my head. "Where is it?", he replies and opens the door to my room. "I don't know! Guess you'll have to search it!" I turn to face Wilma again.
I remember that book Harry's now looking for is about pregnancy. Poor girl. She could've needed a best friend at that time of her life. That's what no one wants to happen. "Which week are you in?", I ask and point at her stomache.
"14th!", she answers and finally smiles properly. "I know", she replies even though I didn't ask her anything else, "you don't see much, though. I can still hide it pretty good under a babydoll dress or loose shirts", she explains smiling. Wow. Three and a half months already. It's not going to take too long and some important things will change for Harry and Wilma.
But I'm lucky for them. I can't be mad at them just because I can't have what they have. It's not their fault. If anything it's my fault. I made her angry, didn't I?
"Found it!", Harry suddenly screams. "Oops!" "What? What happened?", Louis asks confused. "I think I should've brought that back about like... more than two months ago!?" "You're kidding right!?", Liam asks and looks at him but he shakes his head. "Nope!"
"What are you talking about?", I ask confused. "Well, I got that book from the library!", Harry explains. Oh gosh! Now he'll have to pay for it. "Dammit!", Harry says and throws the book on the sofa, "I don't even want to go to that library now!", Harry whines. "I'll go then!", I say and grab the book. "What!? No you don't have to! You really don't-"
"But I want to!", I explain and want to leave. "Ask for that red and blue haired girl! I think her name was Rachel, though... Maybe she'll turn a blind eye to us?", he laughs and I leave, nodding my head. Rachel... Is that the girl I met at the concert as well?
Is it coincidence that I'm going to see her again?
